Cyberjaya Education Group Proposed Capital Reduction of MYR235 Million
Cyberjaya Education Group (KLSE:CYBERE) proposed a capital reduction of 235 million Malaysian ringgit to eliminate its accumulated losses and strengthen its financial position, according to a Friday filing to Bursa Malaysia.With this exercise, the company will eliminate the group's 235 million ringgit accumulated losses as at end-March, leaving it with positive reserves of 121.6 million ringgit.The company's shares were down over 1% in Monday's trade.At a group level, the unaudited accumulated losses were 113.24 million ringgit at the group level at the end of March, and were 229.7 million ringgit at the company level.The exercise is subject to approval by the shareholders and by the High Court of Malaya and is expected to be completed by the fourth quarter of 2026.
