Celcomdigi's Profit Drops in Q2
Celcomdigi (KLSE:CDB) posted a decline in attributable profit for the second quarter ended June 30 to 398 million ringgit from 439 million ringgit a year prior, according to a Friday Malaysian bourse filing.Basic earnings per share were 0.0339 ringgit in the quarter, down from 0.0374 ringgit in the corresponding period of the last fiscal year.The communications conglomerate and mobile service provider's revenue edged up to 3.19 billion ringgit in the three months from 3.18 billion ringgit previously.CelcomDigi declared a second interim tax-exempt dividend of 0.034 ringgit per share for the financial year ending Dec. 31. The dividend is payable on Sept. 29 to shareholders on record of Sept. 11.
