Icon Energy Invests in Chartered Containership
Icon Energy (ICON) said Tuesday it agreed to participate as a minority investor in the acquisition of a containership using available cash, with closing expected in late June.The company said it will acquire an approximate 5% equity stake in the entity formed to own the 2008-built container feeder vessel alongside maritime investors.An investment-grade operator will charter the ship for up to 26 months at a fixed daily rate of $26,500 to generate about $19 million in guaranteed revenue, Icon Energy said.Price: $1.10, Change: $+0.01, Percent Change: +0.92%
