Hemisphere Energy Q2 Net Income and Revenue Rise

Hemisphere Energy (HME.V) reported second quarter net income per share of C$0.13 compared with C$0.07 a year earlier.Petroleum and natural gas revenue rose to C$33.6 million in the three months ended June 30, up from C$24.4 million a year-ago.Its board also approved a quarterly base cash dividend of C$0.025 per common share, unchanged from the prior quarter. The dividend will be paid on Sept. 11, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on Aug. 28.Shares of the company closed down 1.1% to C$2.68 on Wednesday on the TSX Venture Exchange.
