Left Field Printing to Exit Australian Printing Business
Left Field Printing Group (HKG:1540) is exiting its Australian printing business under OPUS Book Printing Group and selling the firm to controlling shareholder Lion Rock Group (HKG:1127), according to a joint Thursday filing with the Hong Kong bourse.Under the deal, Left Field will sell the entire issued share capital of OPUS Book to Lion Rock's Wiseland Ventures for HK$132 million in cash.Left Field said it expects to record a loss of HK$39 million on the disposal, but plans to use the proceeds to fund a special dividend of HK$0.30 per share.OPUS Book Printing operates McPherson, Marvel and Griffin in Australia.After the sale, Left Field said it will continue to provide printing services to the target group under a framework agreement with annual caps of HK$9.4 million, HK$28.6 million, and HK$29.2 million for 2026, 2027, and 2028, respectively.
