Global Bio-Chem Completes Boiler Upgrade, Starts Coenzyme Q10 Project; Shares Up 10%
Global Bio-chem Technology (HKG:0809) completed its boiler refurbishment project and began civil construction for its coenzyme Q10 project at its Dehui production site in Jilin province, according to a Wednesday Hong Kong bourse filing.The refurbished boilers were officially commissioned on Aug. 31, while civil construction for the coenzyme Q10 project also began that day.The company said the boiler upgrade is expected to improve energy cost efficiency, operational efficiency, and cost competitiveness.Shares of the firm were up nearly 10% in Thursday morning trade.
