Crown Capital Partners Flags Annual Results Publication Delay, Applies for Management Cease Trade Order
Crown Capital Partners (CRWN.TO) applied for a management cease trade order as it flagged a delay in the publication of its audited annual financial statements.The specialty finance company said late Wednesday it does not expect to meet the June 29, 2026, regulatory deadline for filings, mainly due to the late appointment of a successor to independent auditor KPMG, which resigned in October 2025 at the company's request.With a successor auditor engaged on Tuesday, Crown Capital's audited annual financial statements, related management's discussion and analysis and officer certifications are expected to be submitted Aug. 31.Meanwhile, the management cease trade order filed with the Alberta Securities Commission will not affect general public trading in the company's securities but will restrict Crown Capital's chief executive and financial officers if approved. Its rejection, however, could halt all trading in its securities if the commission issues a general public cease trade offer.
