Creative Medical Technology Expands Phase 2 Trial of Olastrocel in Chronic Lower Back Pain
Creative Medical Technology (CELZ) has expanded its phase 2 trial of olastrocel for chronic lower back pain associated with degenerative disc disease after the US Food and Drug Administration cleared an amended protocol, the company said Monday.The amended protocol adds 15 patients using less than 90 mg of morphine equivalents per day to further evaluate the therapy's safety and efficacy in patients receiving opioid treatment, it said.Creative Medical Technology said the new cohort is more than 85% enrolled.Shares of the company were down over 1% in early Monday trading.Price: $2.21, Change: $-0.02, Percent Change: -1.12%
