B2Gold Gets Fekola Regional Exploitation Permit From Mali, Shares Rise
B2Gold (BTG) has secured the Menankoto exploitation permit from the government of Mali, a key approval for the development of its Fekola Regional project, the gold producer said Friday.B2Gold will begin mining pre-stripping activities and finalize a tolling agreement for the project, according to a statement.Fekola Regional, which will be owned 65% by B2Gold and 35% by the State of Mali, is expected to ramp up operations through the end of 2027 and produce more than 150,000 ounces annually from 2028 through the mid-2030s. the company said.Shares rose more than 23% in Friday afternoon trading.Price: $5.06, Change: $+0.97, Percent Change: +23.69%
