Suryoday Small Finance Bank Turns to Profit in Fiscal Q4; Shares Up 7%
Suryoday Small Finance Bank (NSE:SURYODAY, BOM:543279) posted a net profit of 497.2 million Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, compared with a net loss of 337.8 million rupees a year ago.Earnings per share came in at 4.68 rupees, compared with loss per share of 3.18 rupees a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing to the Indian stock exchanges.Interest earned increased year on year to 6.02 billion rupees from 4.71 billion rupees a year earlier.The bank's shares jumped nearly 7% in recent trade.
