Viking Mines To Evaluate Historical Ore Stockpiles, Tailings Dam at Nevada Tungsten Project, Shares Rise 3%
Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) began a field operations campaign at the Linka tungsten project in Nevada, seeking to quantify the historical ore stockpiles and tailings dam as well as prepare the project for subsurface exploration, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The work includes grid-sampling the historical tailings dam, collecting around 52 samples to determine both the tungsten oxide grade and tailings dam thickness. It is also sampling the historical stockpiles to confirm grade consistency.Its shares were up 3% in recent trading on Tuesday.
