Renascor Resources Reports Operating Cost of $459 Per Tonne for HF-Free Graphite Purification, Shares Up 9%
Renascor Resources' (ASX:RNU) cost study for its hydrofluoric acid (HF) free method for purifying graphite to up to 99.99% carbon for use in lithium-ion battery anodes has estimated operating costs of about $459 per tonne, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.Renascor is currently commissioning its Australian Government co-funded purified spherical graphite (PSG) demonstration plant ahead of commercial-scale downstream development, the filing added.The company is also working with prospective customers and strategic partners through the PSG demonstration plant program, it added.The company's shares rose 9% in recent Thursday trade.
