PhosCo Receives Over AU$1 Million Under EBRD Grant

PhosCo (ASX:PHO) received a AU$1.1 million first installment from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) as it advances its Gasaat phosphate project in Tunisia toward development milestones, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.A further AU$600,000 is scheduled to be received during the year under PhosCo's EBRD grant award, subject to meeting certain pre-agreed milestones, the filing said.The release of the updated scoping study in the September quarter will activate a further AU$7.5 million equity investment from EBRD to fund the Gasaat feasibility study upon exercise of their options.The company also received early exercise notices from some of its shareholders, resulting in the conversion of 11.2 million options and the receipt of around AU$600,000 in additional funding over May and June.

PhosCo Identifies Phosphate Mineralization at DOH Prospect Within Tunisia Project; Shares Up 3%

PhosCo (ASX:PHO) said it identified phosphate mineralization at the DOH prospect within its Gasaat project in Tunisia, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.The results were up to 12.5 meters at over 20% phosphorus pentoxide from 93.3 meters, including 2.4 meters at over 23% phosphorus pentoxide from 95.3 meters and 3 meters at about 25% phosphorus pentoxide from 99.7 meters.The company said the phosphate horizon was intersected at an average thickness of 13 meters, extending over a strike length of 1.3 kilometers and a width of more than 600 meters, with the latest drilling also returning results from the KM deposit and the GS prospect.The company's shares rose almost 3% in recent Wednesday trade.

PhosCo (ASX:PHO) said first pass metallurgical test work results for the KM prospect within its Gasaat phosphate project in Tunisia show that a simple, single-stage flotation circuit produces commercial grade phosphate of up to 31.4% phosphorus pentoxide, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.The company said the results mean three silica flotation steps can be eliminated, reducing technical risk, process complexity, and capital and operating costs.The company said saline Gasaat bore water can be used with minimal or zero cleaning, while concentrate grade is correlated to reagent dosage, opening the possibility of customizing reagent application to match concentrate specifications.The company's shares rose 1% in recent Tuesday trade.
