AF Gruppen, Heerema Land Engineering Contract for North Sea Platform
AF Gruppen (AFG.OL) unit AF Offshore Decom and Heerema Marine Contractors secured an engineering, preparation, removal, and disposal contract for a North Sea platform on the UK Continental Shelf.The works include the removal of the offshore platform's topside facilities, which weigh 38,500 tonnes, according to a Wednesday release.The Norwegian contracting and industrial group and the marine contractor will begin the offshore platform surveys immediately and complete engineering and offshore preparatory works within the next six years.
