Zydus Lifesciences (NSE:ZYDUSLIFE, BOM:532321) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Apollo Hospitals to offer the Shield Multi-Cancer Detection test in India.
The MoU follows Zydus Lifesciences' exclusive arrangement with Guardant Health to introduce the blood-based cancer screening test in the country, according to a stock exchange filing on Friday.
Shield MCD is a methylation-based blood test designed to screen for multiple cancers, including breast, lung, colorectal, and prostate cancers, using a single blood sample.
Shares of the company rose over 3% in recent trade.
