The product is a generic equivalent of Ascor Injection and has been designated a Competitive Generic Therapy by the U.S. FDA, according to a Friday filing on Indian bourses. It is used for the short-term treatment of scurvy in patients aged 5 months and older who cannot take vitamin C orally.
