Zoetis' (ZTS) Simparica Trio, which includes sarolaner, moxidectin, and pyrantel chewable tablets, has received emergency use authorization for the treatment of New World screwworm infestations in dogs and puppies, the US Food and Drug Administration said Thursday.
The FDA said Simparica Trio may be effective in treating New World screwworm infestations in dogs and puppies, adding that Simparica Trio is not authorized for the prevention of New World screwworm.
The emergency use authorization will be effective until it is revoked or the Health and Human Services Secretary terminates the declaration of the potential public health emergency presented by New World screwworm.
