Zenith Energy's (ZENA.OL) Canadian North Africa Oil and Gas unit submitted new evidence with the Swiss Federal Supreme Court to back its annulment application relating to an arbitration award.
Canadian North Africa Oil believes the new material provides "incontrovertible evidence" that there was an undisclosed and irregular relationship between the lawyers representing Tunisia and the president of the ICC-2 arbitral tribunal, Cecilia Carrara, according to a Thursday release.
The energy production and development company also plans to refer the findings to other judicial and criminal courts, including the European Court of Human Rights.
In December 2022, the company's subsidiary launched an ICC arbitration against Tunisia after the termination of the SLK concession deal. Canadian North Africa Oil filed claims of $130 million for lost production, among other things.
