Yunnan Copper's H1 Profit Rises 29%, Revenue Climbs 33%

Yunnan Copper's (SHE:000878) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first half rose 29% to 1.90 billion yuan from 1.47 billion yuan a year earlier, according to a Friday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.

Earnings per share climbed 22% year on year to 0.79 yuan from 0.65 yuan.

Operating revenue increased 33% to 111.5 billion yuan from 84 billion yuan in the previous year.

The copper company proposed to distribute a cash dividend of 0.40 yuan per 10 shares to shareholders.

The company's shares jumped 4% at the close.

SBI Holdings (TYO:8473) plans to purchase a 20% stake in Indonesia-based online brokerage Ajaib Group for $270 million by the end of August, making the latter an equity-method affiliate, Nikkei Asia reported Friday.Ajaib offers online brokerage, foreign-exchange margin trading, cryptocurrency and asset management services.
