Yokogawa Electric's (TYO:6841) attributable profit declined 3% to 12.2 billion yen in the fiscal first quarter from 15.2 billion yen a year ago, according to a Tuesday filing to the Japanese stock exchange.
Basic earnings per share in the three months ended June 30 contracted to 48.27 yen from 59.08 yen a year earlier, the electrical engineering company said.
Net sales in fiscal Q1, however, increased to 141.34 billion yen from 130.21 billion yen a year ago.
