Yangzijiang Maritime Development (SGX:8YZ) has entered into agreements to sell four newbuild bulk carriers, of 40,000 DWT each, according to a Thursday filing to the Singapore stock exchange.
The company's shares were up nearly 2% in Friday's trade.
These vessels are scheduled for delivery between April 2027 and May 2028.
The company also said the first of the four new medium-range tankers, which were contracted for sale in November 2025 for $180 million, was delivered on July 30. The next tanker of the lot is expected to be delivered in November, and the remaining two are expected to be delivered in 2027.
With this, the group has entered into sale contracts to monetize a total of 12 newbuild vessels for an aggregate gross value of $500 million over nine months.
These vessel sale transactions are expected to contribute positively to the group's financial performance over three financial years from 2026 to 2028.
