Yamato Kogyo (TYO:5444) posted a 107.9% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 12.29 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 5.91 billion yen.
The Japan-based steel manufacturer's basic earnings per share increased to 205.71 yen from 95.70 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Friday.
Net sales remained flat at 39.2 billion yen.
In a separate filing, the company raised its forecast for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, with an attributable profit of 57.50 billion yen, EPS of 962.30 yen, and net sales of 178 billion yen.
