Yamaha Motor (TYO:7272) posted an 114.7% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of the parent to 113.90 billion yen for the six months ended June 30 from 53.06 billion yen.
The motorcycle manufacturer's earnings per share increased to 117.37 yen from 54.56 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.
Revenues jumped 17.2% to 1.498 trillion yen from 1.278 trillion yen in the year-ago period.
In a separate filing, the company raised its forecast for the fiscal year ending Dec. 31, with an attributable profit of 170 billion yen, EPS of 175.16 yen, and revenue to 2.9 trillion yen on an increase in unit sales in the motorcycle business and a refund of the reciprocal tariffs in the US.
