Xtend AI Robotics Awarded Phase 3 of US Drone Program

Xtend AI Robotics (XTND) said Wednesday that it was awarded phase 3 of the US Special Operations Command Modular Kinetic Lethal Drone program.

The Modular Kinetic Lethal Drone program combines Xtend's Striker, Scorpio 500 and Scorpio 1000 platforms with a common Ground Control Station and the XOS operating system.

The company said the program is designed to provide small tactical units with modular and reusable precision-strike capabilities for US Special Operations Forces.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Shares of the company were up 3.6% in Wednesday trading.

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
