Xpeng Widens Loss in Q1

Xpeng (HKG:9868) recorded an attributable loss of 1.78 billion yuan in the first quarter of 2026, compared with 664 million yuan a year prior, according to a Thursday Hong Kong bourse filing.

Loss per share widened to 0.93 yuan from 0.35 yuan in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.

Revenue slipped 18% to 13 billion yuan from 15.8 billion yuan in the year-ago period.

SoftBank Group to Redeem $669.3 million of 4% notes due July

SoftBank Group (TYO:9984) will redeem all of its outstanding USD-denominated 4% Senior Notes, at par on June 9, in accordance with their terms and conditions, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.The notes, which were issued on July 6, 2021, carry an interest rate of 4% per annum and have a maturity date of July 6, 2026.The total outstanding principal amount subject to redemption is $669.3 million, representing 100% of the issued amount, and the redemption price will be 100% of par.The early redemption, scheduled approximately one month before the original maturity date, will see SoftBank retire the entire remaining balance of the 2021 issuance.

Nippon Building Fund Secures 5 Billion Yen Green Loan to Refinance Maturing Debt

Nippon Building Fund (TYO:8951) has agreed to borrow 5 billion yen from the Development Bank of Japan at an interest rate of 1.354%, based on three-month Japanese Yen TIBOR plus a 0.096% margin, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Thursday.The unsecured, unguaranteed loan is expected to be implemented on June 1, 2026, with the full principal amount repayable in one lump sum on the due date of June 1, 2034.The proceeds will be used to refinance a long-term borrowing maturing in June, with the transaction effectively replacing 5 billion yen of fixed-rate debt with floating-rate debt.
