XPeng Starts Humanoid Robot Production, Eyes Mass Manufacturing by Year-End

XPeng (HKG:9868) has commissioned its humanoid robot production line, with its IRON robot becoming the first unit to roll off the line, according to a press release on Tuesday.

More than 80% of core production processes are automated, with the lines designed to meet automotive-grade manufacturing standards and support scaled production.

XPeng plans to begin mass production of its humanoid robots by the end of 2026, with initial deployments at its stores and campuses.

Commercial launches and deliveries in China and overseas markets are planned for 2027, the statement said.

Sequoia Financial Group (ASX:SEQ) former Chief Executive Garry Crole has been banned by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for 10 years from performing any function involved in carrying on a financial services business as a director or responsible manager, according to a Tuesday statement by ASIC.The regulator said Crole failed to adequately respond to serious concerns about the financial advice model used by former Interprac-authorized representatives, who advised thousands of clients to invest superannuation in the now-collapsed First Guardian and Shield Master Funds.The company did not immediately respond to anemail request for comment.
