Xencor's Cancer Drug Study Selected for Oral Presentation at ESMO; Shares Rise

Xencor (XNCR) said Friday that phase 1 results for its experimental cancer therapy XmAb819 in advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma have been selected for a proffered paper oral presentation at the European Society of Medical Oncology, or ESMO, Congress in October.

The company said expansion cohorts are evaluating intravenous doses to support selection of a recommended dose for a planned phase 3 study in advanced clear cell renal cell carcinoma, which is expected to begin in 2027.

Shares of Xencor were up 8.6% in Friday afternoon trading.
