Woolworths Group (ASX:WOW) started construction on its AU$29 million Lauderdale neighborhood shopping center in Tasmania, which is expected to create more than 300 jobs and feature a new supermarket, 13 specialty stores, and a range of community-focused facilities, according to a Wednesday statement by the company.
The center will feature more than 220 car parking spaces, an alfresco dining area, an eight-bay direct to boot service for convenient online order pickups, more than 600 solar panels, and eight electric vehicle charging stations.
