Wix.com (WIX) shares jumped Tuesday after the Israeli web development platform reported better-than-expected second-quarter results, driven by demand for its artificial intelligence-powered tools.

Wix's US-listed shares advanced 18% in late-afternoon trade. The stock has lost 35% in value so far this year.

"We saw a step-up in Base44 contribution to the partners segment in the second quarter, as professionals increasingly leveraged AI and AI agents in their workflows and expanded their pipelines to include software creation," President Nir Zohar said on an earnings call, according to a FactSet transcript.
The Base44 AI platform helps quickly build fully functioning apps.
For 2026, Wix maintained its revenue growth guidance at a low- to mid-teens percentage and bookings to grow at a a low-teens percentage. Base44 is expected to continue on its "strong growth trajectory through the rest of the year, with significantly better" non-GAAP gross margins, the company said in an earnings release. For the ongoing quarter, Wix projects revenue to grow at a low-double-digits percentage.
"Margins look to be stabilizing here finally, another positive as improvements in AI compute costs are partially offset by greater marketing investment behind Base44," Wedbush Securities said in a note. "With guidance maintained despite the better-than-expected (quarterly) results, the outlook still has some uncertainty with the pace of change we're seeing, but the results look like a step forward."
