Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) plans to expand the Cue processing hub in Western Australia to a run rate of 1.7 million tonnes per annum in fiscal year 2028 from the current 1.4 million tonnes per annum, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
The planned expansion is underpinned by increasing underground mine outputs from its Big Bell and Great Fingall mines.
The process plant upgrade is designed to increase the milling circuit throughput from the current nominal 170 tonnes per hour to 200 tonnes per hour. The scoping study for the expansion plan assumes an upgrade of the current plant for a capital cost of AU$22 million.
