Westgold Resources Issues Fiscal 2027 Gold Production Guidance, Updates Three-Year Outlook; Shares Fall 5%

Westgold Resources (ASX:WGX) issued fiscal 2027 gold production guidance of 385,000 to 425,000 ounces at an all-in sustaining cost of AU$2,980 to AU$3,380 per ounce, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company also provided an updated three-year outlook to increase group gold production to between 460,000 and 510,000 ounces in fiscal 2029.

Planned investment in Westgold's largest mines is expected to lift production, improve mill utilization, and reduce its all-in sustaining cost to AU$2,640 to AU$3,000 per ounce by fiscal 2029.

Group processing capacity is expected to increase to more than 7 million tonnes per annum by fiscal 2029 through sequenced brownfield expansion of the Cue and Meekatharra hubs, the company said.

Its shares fell 5% in recent Wednesday trade.

Sequoia Financial Group (ASX:SEQ) former Chief Executive Garry Crole has been banned by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) for 10 years from performing any function involved in carrying on a financial services business as a director or responsible manager, according to a Tuesday statement by ASIC.The regulator said Crole failed to adequately respond to serious concerns about the financial advice model used by former Interprac-authorized representatives, who advised thousands of clients to invest superannuation in the now-collapsed First Guardian and Shield Master Funds.The company did not immediately respond to anemail request for comment.
