Western Carriers (India) (NSE:WCIL, BOM:544258) inaugurated General Cargo Terminal at the GCD Yard of the Kolkata Dock System under a 15-year agreement with Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port Authority.
The terminal handles containers, dry bulk and break-bulk cargo, with Phase I operational from launch. The company plans to begin Phase II development within 90 days and initially estimates investment of about 136.8 million Indian rupees for further civil development.
