Wens Foodstuff (SHE:300498) swung to a net loss attributable to shareholders of 4.37 billion yuan in the first half from the year-ago attributable profit of 3.47 billion yuan, according to a Wednesday disclosure on the Shenzhen bourse.
Loss per share was 0.66 yuan, compared with year-ago earnings per share of 0.51 yuan.
Operating revenue fell 6.2% to 46.7 billion yuan from 49.9 billion yuan in the previous year.
The Chinese livestock producer's shares slipped 1% during the afternoon trade.
