Wens Foodstuff (SHE:300498) logged chicken meat sales revenue of 2.72 billion yuan in July, up 17% from 2.32 billion yuan the previous year.
The increase was driven by higher sales volume and higher broiler prices, which respectively climbed 1.5% and 16%, according to
a Wednesday aftermarket filing with the Shenzhen bourse.
Revenue from hog product sales declined 25% year over year to 3.66 billion yuan from 4.88 billion yuan, as sales volume and hog prices fell 13% and 26%, respectively.
Shares of the livestock producer were down nearly 1% in recent trade.
