WellCell Eyes Expansion Into AI Infrastructure Services; Shares Jump 7%

WellCell (HKG:2477) plans to expand into artificial intelligence infrastructure services as part of a broader AI strategy upgrade, according to a May 15 Hong Kong bourse filing.

Shares of the telecommunications company were up over 7% in Monday morning trade.

The company said it aims to develop a computing power leasing platform offering graphics processing unit services for AI training, inference, and high-performance computing applications.

WellCell also plans to establish a dedicated AI strategy task force and an independent business unit to advance the initiatives.
