Waga Energy (WAGA.PA) and Casella Waste Systems commenced operations at a renewable natural gas facility at the McKean Landfill in Pennsylvania, US.
The facility can process up to 2,000 standard cubic feet per minute of landfill gas and produce up to 407,000 million British thermal units of renewable gas annually, according to a Thursday release.
The French renewable natural gas producer fully funded the construction of the facilities and will own and operate each one for 20 years, while the companies will share revenue generated from gas sales.
The McKean facility is the third to begin operations this year under Casella and Waga's 2023 partnership.
