Wärtsilä, Tokyo Gas Engineering to Evaluate Data Center Power Systems in Japan

Wärtsilä said it will jointly evaluate power supply systems for data centers in Japan with the Japan-based Tokyo Gas (TYO:9531) unit Tokyo Gas Engineering Solutions under an MoU framework signed in August.

The Finland-based technology group said the companies will jointly assess gas- and dual-fuel engine-based power generation systems for selected data centers, according to a Thursday release.

As part of the MoU, the two companies will develop initial technical concepts, establish performance parameters, and assess the feasibility of selected projects.
