VivoPower (VIVO) said Monday it selected a preferred long-term tenant for its artificial intelligence data center in Mo i Rana, Norway.

The sustainable energy and digital infrastructure company said it expects to announce the tenant's identity and lease terms after the parties finalize legal agreements.

The company said it chose the prospective tenant, which it described as a global AI industry leader, after evaluating commercial terms, financial strength, credit quality, operational fit, strategic alignment and expansion potential.

VivoPower said the companies are also discussing additional agreements, which could expand the relationship into multiple countries if completed.

The Mo i Rana facility has 41.5 megawatts of operating capacity, with another 40 megawatts of permitted expansion capacity that may be energized within 18 to 24 months, subject to regulatory approval, according to the company.
