Viridian Therapeutics (VRDN) said Monday that Lumvoa received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration to treat thyroid eye disease, an autoimmune disease.
The company said it plans to launch Lumvoa immediately, and physicians can prescribe Lumvoa from Tuesday.
Viridian said that Lumvoa was approved by the FDA under Priority Review and was supported by data from the THRIVE and THRIVE-2 phase 3 clinical trials.
Shares of the company were up 14% in Monday's premarket activity.
