Virgin Australia (ASX:VGN) said it 150th Boeing 737 jet has officially entered service, marking a fleet renewal milestone, according to a Tuesday statement.
The latest aircraft, named Lake Centenary, is the 100th Boeing 737 plane in Virgin Australia's current fleet and the 150th 737 received by the airline in the last 26 years.
Virgin Australia said it will receive a dozen 737-8s this year, along with four Embraer E190 E2s for its regional Australian flights.
The company's shares were down 3% in recent Tuesday trade.
