Virgin Australia Holdings (ASX:VGN) said its maiden international flight from the Australian capital, Canberra, will fly to Bali, Indonesia, on Monday, launching a new route, according to a same-day statement.
The new route is scheduled to operate three times per week. It will be operated using the airline's Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The route will operate seasonally, with Virgin Australia planning to increase frequency during peak travel periods, subject to demand.
Its shares fell 1% in recent trading on Monday.
