Vertex Minerals (ASX:VTX) said the New South Wales Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has issued a varied Environment Protection Licence for its Reward Gold Mine, aligning the license with the development application modification approved by Bathurst Regional Council in August, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.
The company said with both the development application modification and the varied license now in place, the Reward Gold Mine is authorized to conduct underground mining 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with underground blasting permitted at any hour within licensed limits.
The company said 49 ounces of gold were sold in August, with a further 81 ounces of gold on hand and available for sale.
The company's shares rose past 4% in recent Friday trade.
