Verizon Reportedly Advances Restructuring Efforts With Plan to Sell 274 Retail Stores

Verizon Communications (VZ) will sell 274 company-owned retail locations as part of its restructuring efforts, which is expected to impact 3,000 employees, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

The retail changes will become effective Aug. 16, according to the news outlets.

Affected employees are likely to be retained by the new owners, Bloomberg reported Thursday.

Verizon Communications did not immediately respond to a request for comment from.
