Verizon Business, KDDI Partner With BMW Group on US Connected Vehicles

Verizon Communications' (VZ) Verizon Business division and KDDI said Thursday they are collaborating with BMW Group to provide telematics connectivity for new BMW, MINI and other BMW Group vehicles manufactured for the US market.

Financial details weren't disclosed.

Under the collaboration, Verizon will provide 5G Standalone and LTE connectivity through its US network and KDDI will supply its Global Communications Platform, enabling BMW ConnectedDrive and other digital infotainment, remote, app and telematics services for BMW Group vehicles in the US, the companies said.

Ampco-Pittsburgh Reports Higher Customer Order Activity for H1

Ampco-Pittsburgh (AP) said Wednesday its customer order activity in the first half of 2026 totaled about $268 million, up from $204 million in the same period a year earlier.Customer order activity in the company's Forged and Cast Engineered Products segment rose 25% in the first six months of 2026, while Air and Liquid Processing experienced 42% growth year over year, according to a statement.Shares rose more than 15% in after-hours trading.
