Verastem's VS-7375 Update Reiterates Potential in US Patients, RBC Says

By

Verastem's (VSTM) update on its VS-7375 investigational KRAS G12D inhibitor reiterated its potential in US patients, setting the stage for further data validation in H2, RBC Capital Markets said in a note emailed Wednesday.

"Efficacy in ex-US patients should translate to US patients across major indications," the brokerage said, also noting VS-7375's clean safety profile. The company did not present formal tumor response data, but its efficacy data indicate VS-7375's potential to beat the overall response rate level of competing therapy zoldon, RBC said.

The company's upcoming development update in H2 could serve as a key catalyst, according to the investment firm. RBC estimates about a $1 billion opportunity for VS-7375 by 2035 across pancreatic, colorectal, and non-small cell lung cancers.

RBC maintained its outperform rating and $15 price target on Verastem.
