Valuetronics Attributable Profit Slumps 70% in Fiscal H2; Shares Surge 15%

Valuetronics (SGX:BN2) attributable profit to owners fell 70% during the fiscal second half ended March 31 to HK$24.1 million from HK$79.9 million a year earlier, according to a Thursday filing with the Singapore Exchange.

Earnings per share came in at HK$0.059 compared with HK$0.194 in the year-ago period.

Revenue declined 5% year over year to HK$823.7 million from HK$866.9 million.

The electronics manufacturer declared a final dividend of HK$0.0014 per share and a special dividend of HK$0.0016 per share, payable on Aug. 28.

Shares of the company zoomed 15% in Thursday trading.

Kingsoft's Profit Jumps Nearly Fourfold in Q, Names New CFO
