Vaalco Energy (EGY.L) said Tuesday it resumed production at the Baobab field on the CI-40 block in offshore Côte d'Ivoire, following the completion of refurbishment work on the Baobab Ivoirien floating production, storage and offloading vessel.

The FPSO ceased hydrocarbon operations in January 2025 and underwent a nine-month refurbishment program in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before returning to Côte d'Ivoire early in the second quarter of 2026.

The London-listed oil and gas company said it resumed production from four producing wells, with the remaining three producers expected to come online in the near term.
