Uzma, Boustead to Explore Satellite Communications, Geospatial Intelligence

-- Uzma (KLSE:UZMA) unit Uzma Space and Defence signed a memorandum of understanding with Boustead to explore collaboration in satellite communications and geospatial intelligence, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.

Uzma's shares rose over 2% Wednesday afternoon.

The partnership will focus on developing satellite-based solutions, Earth observation capabilities, and AI-driven geospatial analytics for defence, security, and critical infrastructure applications.

Both parties will also look at joint participation in government and regional tenders, along with co-development of integrated intelligence and communication systems.

The collaboration may include training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives in related technologies.

The MoU is valid for one year, with an option for extension, the filing said.
