-- Uzma (KLSE:UZMA) unit Uzma Space and Defence signed a memorandum of understanding with Boustead to explore collaboration in satellite communications and geospatial intelligence, according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.
Uzma's shares rose over 2% Wednesday afternoon.
The partnership will focus on developing satellite-based solutions, Earth observation capabilities, and AI-driven geospatial analytics for defence, security, and critical infrastructure applications.
Both parties will also look at joint participation in government and regional tenders, along with co-development of integrated intelligence and communication systems.
The collaboration may include training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives in related technologies.
The MoU is valid for one year, with an option for extension, the filing said.
