USP Group Names Chair, CEO Following Exit from Judicial Management

USP Group (SGX:BRS) has appointed Maio Dangi as non-independent non-executive deputy chairperson and Melvin Tan as chief executive officer, according to a Friday filing.

Dangi is the founder of Ascendro Group, which extended a loan to USP in 2025 to support its restructuring efforts. Tan is the CEO of Hinterland Group, a substantial shareholder of USP.

The appointments took effect on July 30, following USP's exit from judicial management on July 18.

The company said the appointments are part of the ongoing renewal and strengthening of the board to support the group's restructuring and recovery.

In addition, the board established AI and technology committees to oversee the group's artificial intelligence, automation and marketing technology initiatives.
