US crude output increased to 13.93 million barrels per day in April, according to the Energy Information Administration's Petroleum Supply Monthly data released Tuesday.
The monthly figure is the highest on record, EIA data revealed, logging an increase of 216,000 b/d in April. US crude production was around 13.72 mmb/d in March.
Output in New Mexico hit a record high of 2.37 million b/d, EIA data showed. In Texas, production was up 36,000 b/d to touch 5.83 mmb/d, the highest since November.
Meanwhile, production in North Dakota also increased to 1.13 mmb/d, the highest since November.
